Chinese New Year at NWLA
The Chinese Lunar New Year begins on January 23rd this year, with the traditional two-week celebration lasting through February 6th’s Lantern Festival. The year 2012 marks the 4710th consecutive New Year in the Chinese Calendar–the Year of the Dragon, according to the Chinese zodiac. Losar, the Tibetan Lunar New Year, will begin February 22nd.
